Ohio Homebuyer Plus

• Be an Ohio resident
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a primary residence located in the State of Ohio
• Only use account proceeds toward the down payment or closing costs of a home purchased in Ohio, with the home becoming their new primary residence  

Accounts must be used within five years, maintain a minimum balance of at least $100, and cannot exceed a maximum balance of $100,000.

1. Do I need to be a first time home buyer? No.
2. Is there a minimum age? Account holder has to be 18 or older 
3. Can I have a joint account? No, only one person can be signed on the account. However, two people can have separate accounts and combine the funds after withdrawn to purchase the same home. 
4. Who can contribute to an account? Employer, Parent, Grandparents, and Spouse can contribute to a single account. Contributions may be state income tax deductible**.  
5. Where can I open an account for the Ohio Homebuyer Plus? Any Peoples State Bank Branch (excluding Zanesville)

• $100,000 Maximum Allowable Account Balance
• No Monthly Service Charge
• 1 Withdrawal Allowed Per Month Without Fee, $5 Each Thereafter
